He has a Bachelor Degree in Animal Production from the Central American School for Animal Husbandry (ECAG), a Master Degree in Animal Nutrition from Universidad de Yucatán in México and PhD in Decision Support Systems for Agriculture from the University of Edinburgh (UK). He is an expert in information systems in agriculture involved in the development of several applications i.e. VAMPP, InforDairy, Virtual-AGRI, AgriDescriptor.

He is System Analyst from ITCR (Costa Rica), he has been lecture at ITCR for more than 15 years and was the creator of Systems Development Company SERCOM. He has a deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience in information systems development.
